Gleeds appointed to run new South West Framework supply chain
International management and construction consultancy, Gleeds, has been appointed by Torbay Council to provide project management, quantity surveying, CDM co-ordination, building surveying, sustainability and education advisory services on a four year framework across the South West.
The framework is designed primarily to assist Public Bodies in delivering significant efficiency savings and improving value for money on a wide range of capital projects with a possible multi-million pound fee income across the whole framework over the next four years.
Gleeds is one of just eight consultancies selected to head up a supply chain featuring high profile architects and engineers from the locality. They can be used as a comprehensive “one stop” consultancy solution or as a schedule of specialist elements which can be purchased in isolation or any bespoke combination according to individual need.
The new Agreement replaces the South West Consultancy Framework 2008-2012 which originally listed 48 construction consultancies and was utilised by organisations such as; Bath and North East Somerset Council, Dorset County Council, University of Exeter, Royal Devon and Exeter NHS and Torbay Council.
Commenting on the appointment, Terry Langdon, Director for Gleeds Management Services who is responsible for the programme said; “We are delighted to have been selected as one of eight consultants appointed to this high profile framework. Gleeds will be heading up a supply chain which includes some of the region’s top architectural and engineering practices and we look forward to working together to deliver real savings to Public Bodies in the South West”.
